How to save a Telegram chat when copying is disabled

When content restrictions appear in personal chats

When content protection is enabled in a direct 1-on-1 conversation, standard Telegram tools stop functioning: text cannot be selected or copied, messages cannot be forwarded, and photos or voice messages cannot be exported directly. This creates major hurdles when saving work agreements, client correspondence, audio notes, or important receipts.

Because direct messages lack public channel links, channel post extractors cannot be used. A dedicated direct chat export flow is required.

How direct chat export works in SpyGrabs

1. Open @spygrabsplus_bot and select Download from a chat.
2. Connect your authorized Telegram session so the downloader can access your dialogs.
3. Send the @username or numeric Telegram ID of the conversation partner.
4. Choose your export period: today, yesterday, past 7 days, or a custom date range.
5. Select what you need: full text transcript in PDF, media attachments, voice notes, or keyword search.

• Date range: Narrow down to specific days instead of pulling years of history.
• Content types: Select text, photos, video files, voice notes, round video messages, or documents.
• Structured PDF output: Messages are organized chronologically with timestamps and participant names.
• Original quality: Video and audio files are exported in their original bitrates without transcoding.

Important security & factual boundaries

• Existing member access required: SpyGrabs works only with chats already accessible to your active Telegram account. It cannot access third-party dialogs or bypass account bans.
• Deleted content: The bot can only retrieve messages currently present on Telegram servers. It does not restore deleted messages or expired self-destructing media.
• Session control: Authorization uses standard Telegram MTProto login codes. You can terminate the active session at any moment in Settings → Devices → Active Sessions.
• Data privacy: Temporary processing files on our servers are automatically deleted upon task completion.

When to use full channel export instead

The chat export tool is designed for direct 1-on-1 dialogs. If you need to backup a complete educational channel, large discussion group, or forum archive with hundreds of posts, use Download an entire channel instead.
