Before you begin: access requirements
Open the post in your Telegram app and confirm that it contains the file you need. SpyGrabs requires that your account already has access to the private channel or group. A subscription does not unlock channels you have not joined, bypass administrative bans, or restore deleted posts.
The fundamental rule: existing member access
SpyGrabs does not hack private channels or bypass Telegram security. It is an automated utility that retrieves content that is already accessible to your Telegram account when content protection (forwarding or saving restrictions) is turned on by the channel owner.
Two ways to save content
Single post link: Copy the message link (e.g. https://t.me/c/1234567890/456) and paste it into @spygrabsplus_bot. Ideal when you only need one video, PDF, or document.
Full channel export: Choose Download an entire channel in the bot menu when you need a channel or post-range export instead of copying individual links.
How account authorization works & security
Public channels do not require authorization. However, private channels and restricted groups require connecting your Telegram session so the bot can access what your account is permitted to view.
Official Telegram protocol: Authorization uses the login code sent by Telegram. If two-step verification is enabled on your account, the authorization flow will also ask for your Telegram 2FA password to complete sign-in.
Total control: You can terminate the active session at any time directly in your Telegram client: Settings → Devices → Active Sessions → Terminate.
Privacy: The service uses temporary processing files and removes them after processing. If a technical failure interrupts cleanup, removal may be delayed.
How the output is delivered
Directly in the bot chat: Videos, documents, audio notes, and photos are sent straight to your dialog with @spygrabsplus_bot.
Original quality: Media is delivered in its original resolution and bitrate without lossy re-encoding.
Captions & text preserved: Post formatting and captions are included with each message.
Large files: Delivery limits depend on Telegram and the file type. Large supported videos may be split into parts; other large files may fail at platform limits.
Why a file might not arrive: troubleshooting
Invite link sent instead of post link: An invite link (t.me/+...) only lets you join a channel. To download a specific file, you need the post link (t.me/c/...).
Session expired or revoked: If you terminated your session, re-authorize in the bot before sending the link.
Post was deleted: The bot cannot recover messages that are no longer present on Telegram servers.
Paid Telegram Stars media: A paid Stars post requires active Premium, an authorized Telegram account, and prior purchase of that post by the same account. SpyGrabs does not unlock unpaid content.
Task queue: Large video files or bulk tasks are processed sequentially. Please wait for the bot's status message rather than making duplicate payments.
